ENVF has implemented an online equipment booking system to streamline the booking and management of the ENVF equipment.

Users MUST make the booking before they can use the equipment.

Users are reminded on the following points. For more detailed information, please read the Policies and Rules.

  • Booking can be made no more than ONE month in advance.
  • Cancellation of booking is allowed but needs to be done 24 hours in advance, or otherwise, the usage charge will be made to the users according to the booking record.
  • Please make sure that the information and data provided in the booking form is accurate and valid.
  • Note that a notification will be sent to your supervisors once the booking is successfully submitted.
  • Users are reminded to observe the user regulations when they use our ENVF equipment and services. Note that users violating the user regulations may be banned from using our facility and services.
  • Hazardous experiments, such as those with the use of extremely hazardous material like hydrogen fluoride or airborne pathogens, or with the potential release of these materials in the course of experiments, are NOT allowed in ENVF laboratories, unless permission is granted by ENVF and HSEO in advance. And proper safety measures should be implemented in all experiments. Any violation may result in banning the users from using ENVF facility.

Dear ENVF Lab Users,

In view of a recent reported case on unauthorized access and improper use of a major analytical equipment in ENVF Laboratory, we would like to remind all ENVF users that they must strictly observe the ENVF user regulations and rules when they use the equipment and services in ENVF Laboratory, and in particular, the following points:

  • Never share your access ID cards to others for access to ENVF Laboratory.
  • Make proper booking before you use any equipment and only use the equipment in the period booked. Be reminded that some equipment is not available for use after office hours when our technical staff is off due to safety concerns.
  • Use of equipment outside booking period is strictly prohibited.
  • No major analytical equipment should be left unattended when it is turned on, unless with prior exception approval from ENVF technical team.

Please note that a first-time violation will result in a warning and notification to supervisors. Subsequent violations may lead to a suspension of equipment access for 1-3 months or longer depending on the times of violation and the severity. Your cooperation is vital for maintaining a safe and effective user laboratory in ENVF Laboratory.
